Too short/too pricey

Not very happy with the price. VERY expensive for the content.
Post apocolyptic tale. Survivor after an 'invasion' of 'aliens'. Never really explained what the killers were. Seems to be the child some form of were.
This is more of a teaser for a future story/series than a true short.
I love Ms Saintcrow's writing.

I read this in 20 minutes. Where's the rest of it? For 2 bucks,come on! Who are the "bad things" ? Is the boy a mutant ? Is he of magic? What about the dog?

Why I dislike short Stories

Great, of course! Too short by like 95% About the time the story starts to grab you it's over. To my thinking, this is chapter one of a very great book-with all the other chapters missing.
Just know going into it that it's bout 35 pages long, and the story is just starting when it ends.
I am glad I read it, am glad I bought it, just wish I could 'buy' the rest of the story too.
