An Excellent Resource for Investigators

I met the author of this book, Steve Chancellor, some years ago in his sexual assault training class for criminal investigators. It was by far the best law enforcement class I've ever attended. (And I've been to a lot of them.)
This book is like that class: well-presented and very useful. Thanks to a long stellar career as an Army and state investigator, Chancellor knows his stuff.
He's also an excellent writer. The case studies presented here are both gripping and informative.
I now work for a district attorney. The sexual assault prosecutors in my office have stopped borrowing my copy of Investigating Sexual Assault Cases and ordered their own. Anyone dealing with these sort of crimes will want to do likewise.

Very Useful and Informative Book

After reading the Death Investigations book authored by Dr. James Adcock and co-authored by Arthur Chancellor, I was looking forward to reading Mr. Chancellor's new book on Investigating Sexual Assault Cases. When it was finally published and I ordered it, I was not disappointed. Having investigated dozens and dozens of sexual assaults, quite frankly, I figured that it woukd be an interesting read but I wasn't entirely sure that I would learn much new. However, I was pleasantly surprised. This book is an excellent resource and I learned literally dozens of new approaches and ideas that I had never thought of or been taught despite my extensive study on the subject. Criminal investigators of any experince level who conduct sexual assault investigations will benefit greatly from this book and will become better, more competent investigators. This book was well worth the money and should be required reading for anyone investigating sexual assaults.
