Fantastic! Just like the previous book, it had me from the first page. I couldn't put it down!

So far this series has filled the void so many other books left. Sometimes I have a bad habit of making mental notes of what a book lacked, what I wish it had. Then I'd take all of those book wishes and create this vision of what my perfect book would be. Somehow Randi Cooley Wilson picked up on it and delivered that and more in the Revelation series.
Can I just copy and paste the review I wrote for Revelation?!? My opinions of the characters didn't change, I still love them all. So in addition to the points I made in my review for the previous book, I loved the following:
- Timing. I've read quite a few series where the next book picks up months or a year later and you're left wondering what the hell went on during that time. Restraint picked up exactly where Revelation left off. I really loved that. I was able to jump from one book to the next and not have to fill in the gaps on my own.
- Still no love triangle! I have a feeling something is about to spark in the next book, but I'm not really worried. I sort of like Gage, he's growing on me.. but I can't see some epic everlasting love between him and Eve.
- Eve is still one of my favorite protagonists. She's still got a mouth on her, she's so sassy and I LOVE it. I wish she was a bit more sarcastic, but that's just me. She's becoming such a strong character, I can't wait to see her grow into the fierce woman I know she's bound to become.
- The dialogue is real. If this book happened in real life, their reactions are pretty spot on. Sometimes authors lose touch with the real world and they make their characters react weird to certain situations and use phrases that you don't hear a lot these days. No joke, I just read a book that had the protagonist say "Gee whiz!" and it wasn't sarcasm either. Who actually talks like that? Not me! That's what I love about this book. They say and do things the same way I would.
- The characters are still relatable and lovable. I just wish I knew a bit more about them.
- I really like Fiona, but I'm not sure if I should trust her yet.
- McKenna! She's becoming one of my favorite characters. I really hope we get a novella or something about all of the characters, because I definitely need more stories about them.
- This book definitely has some heat, but it's not raunchy at all. It had the perfect amount of tension.
- The writing is the same as it was in Revelation. Fantastic! Just like the previous book, it had me from the first page. I couldn't put it down and then I was upset when it was over.
What I didn't like:
- Again, I wish there was more! I need more!
- Morgana. Do not like. AT ALL.
I'm just going to throw this out there. This needs to become a TV or web series. If that happens.. I'M CALLING DIBS ON EVE'S ROLE. Not even joking.

Awesome Book!!

If you have read my review of Revelation, the first book in this series (go HERE to read it), than you probably know how much I loved that book! And I am very happy to say that my feelings remain the same for Restraint. This book just got better and better the more I kept reading, and it totally broke my heart by the time I finished reading it! Lucky for me though, I received an ARC of Redemption- book three, which I'll be reviewing soon,so I didn't have to wait too long to dive back into Eve's world. I really loved Restraint! The action, suspense, and romance are back in full swing in this book! In fact everything is more intense and doubled in this book than it was in the last one.
As with with the first book, I am still very much in love Eve and Asher. Eve's character just seems so real, and the way she reacts to things during certain circumstances was exactly how I thought anyone would react had they been in her place. She isn't always the super strong heroine who can face anything life throws at them. She has her moments and she isn't afraid to admit when things get overwhelming for her, or when she just needs a break from everything. I feel like I am repeating myself hear because I kind of said the same thing in my review of Revelation, but I just want to say again that I really love these characteristics of Eve. She is most definitely one of my most favorite heroines! As for Asher....well he is still Asher. You know, the whole overprotective, super hot, swoon worthy, with a side of occasional rude attitude that can make him seem like a complete jerk, do I need to go on? I really liked Asher's character in the last book, and didn't think that he could get any better. But I was so wrong. Asher was completely over the top in this book. I felt like the readers got to know him much better and he was just so sweet to Eve...for the most part! As for Gage, well, I still don't know what to make of him. Gage is such a complex character with so many layers and there's still so much to learn about him. The other supporting characters were all awesome as well, and I absolutely adored Abby and Callan, especially Callan with all his cute aprons!
Restraint jumped right back into Eve's story from page one, and had so many twists and turns that it felt like a roller coaster ride- a super fun and enjoyable one, that is. The overall storyline for this book was very interesting and kept me hooked until the very last word! But that cliffhanger at the end...that was terrible! It totally broke my heart, and made me so anxious to find out what happened next. I don't think I can accurately describe just how awesome this book was, or how amazing this series is. Eve's story is really very interesting and unique, and I definitely recommend it to lovers of the paranormal genre!

The author continues with the amazing dark and mysterious covers that I love. This series is an addiction that I'm happy not to let go of. I devoured the reading in a single setting and wanted more! I can't wait to read more by this budding author, because she keeps landing home-runs with what this series. She may have found her a new stalker/reader now! Watch out! This book is even better than the first one! I just wanted to scream at Asher and Eve to just give in! I want the next book already pretty please! The story and writing is even better. In this installment, you get a deeper look at the characters and what they are feeling and thinking. JUST WOW! MORE MORE MORE!
